Bad day? Breathe in, breathe out and be stronger!

Do you also feel sometimes like crap after a bad day and bring home your negativity? I’ve to admit that I tend to do it… No one is perfect, right? In fact, I’m part of those persons who find it hard to sort things out when something goes wrong. I’m used to taking it very personal and it can literally ruin my day. And this is exactly my mistake.

Take advantage of it

When you have a bad day at work, some remarks from your boss, or from unhappy customers, whereas you try so hard to make them satisfied and your job well done it might be daunting.

First thing to do is just to breathe in, breathe out and consider the criticism. Is that criticism justified? If so accepting the mistake is the only thing you can do and, of course, making it never happen again. But if you’re convinced this criticism is not valid that starts to be frustrating.

You start to overthink it, you don’t understand, you feel like shit, and like the job is not meant to you so you reconsider your entire life etc. STOP IT.

Even if you are not on the same page as your boss for this one, he remains the one who has the final word. Try to find some ways to be better and stay enthusiastic. If your boss notices how bad you feel, promised, you won’t make a good impression. Instead, show him you consider his remark and that you want to set up a new working method or whatever. He might even be helpful, who knows? Do you know that french expression that says “What doesn’t kill you make you stronger”? That’s exactly it! Show him you’re strong. Everything happens for a reason, and this can be your chance to grow. Keep believing in yourself. Otherwise, your boss will start to doubt as well.

Move forward

What happens at work has to stay at work! Don’t make it even worse by bringing your negativity at home. First, your partner has nothing to do with this, and it’s unfair to ruin his evening because of your day. Second, he might change your mind and boost you. So take your mind off it, enjoy your evening as nothing happened and rest well.

We only live once, it’s can sound a bit cliché, but that’s so true, and we tend to forget it. At the end of the day, being sad and ruminate won’t answer any of your questions. It’s simply a waste of time. Be smarter, move on.

Don’t let people ruin you

Unfortunately, some people have bad intentions, and they just want you out. They’ll do whatever it takes to make it hard for you, to see you wrong. But show them you’re over it, you’re better and you need more! It will put them out. Keep in mind that those kind of persons are either jealous, which is really sad, or they’re either deeply mean. In both cases, they’re more to be pitied than envied.

Don’t let them ruin your day and make you feel that way, you do not deserve it! Luck will change.
